So you wanna know what an Arepa is? Hundreds of years ago, Arepas were being cooked by indigenous tribes across Venezuela, on the northern tip of South America, crazy right!? In fact, the name Arepa comes from the indigenous word Erepa, which means corn. The more you know!!

Water, salt, masa, creates this beautiful vessel that can be filled with endless options. You can have it for breakfast lunch and dinner. It’s traditionally cooked on a flat top or grilled, but here at Arepaheads we deep fry them bad boys, giving you a perfect crunch!

That’s where chef Joseph comes in. Born in Venezuela, he grew up eating Arepas all the time. Moving to Queens NY, a way to connect with his roots was to continue making Arepas like his mother would. Now here in Vegas, for over a decade and working in multiple restaurants on the Strip, he wants to show his love language by feeding you the food he holds dear to his heart. An Arepa. I’m telling you, all you need is one bite and you’ll be an Arepahead.
