The Shade Tree has teamed up with and some of your favorite Vegas restaurants to offer a fun and delicious at-home experience for The Shade Tree supporters during the week of September 7-13.

Join Chef Justin Kingsley Hall of Main St. Provisions as he presents a southern favorite, Gumbo, during a LIVE cooking demo! Mario and Eric of Garagiste will be curating the optional wine pairings, both a red and a white, to be enjoyed with the dish.

We will be making a classic Louisiana style gumbo. A deeply-flavored broth thickened with a dark roux, then stewed with the holy trinity (green pepper, onions, celery) as well as chicken thigh, prawns and sausage. A perfect dish for summer.


$45 Gumbo Cooking Kit (feeds 2-3)
White rice and potato salad is included.




$40 - 1 Whole Maine Lobster
$22 - 1/2 Main Lobster
$8 - Smoked Quail
$10 - Corn Bread

* Wines:

$25 - 2017 Gaspard, Cabernet Franc from Touraine in the Loire Valley of France.

A refreshingly made organic Cabernet Franc from Jenny & Francois. Bright aromatics of ripe red and black berries with earthy, vegetal undertones. This wine is delicious enough to drink by itself slightly chilled but also has enough heft to stand up to hearty, spicy dishes.

$30 - 2017 Hager Matthias "Terrassen" off-dry Riesling from Niederösterreich, Austria

Beautiful low-intervention, biodynamic Riesling from 25 year old vines from one of Austria's rising stars. Ripe peach, apricot and pear with a razor sharp edge and juicy acidity in an off-dry offering that'll be a perfect foil to any spicy dish.
