If you've ever ordered a cioppino, boulibase or seafood stew and felt you were robbed on the seafood portions... this Secret Burger is for you.

Cioppino’s roots in my family came out of poverty and practicality. Immigrants from the Azar’s migrated to the San Francisco Bay area and plied their trade as fishermen. What they couldn’t sell at the market became dinner.

The ingredients used in Cioppino grow readily in the climate of California, making them virtually free. Tomatoes. Garlic. Parlsey. Basil. Black pepper. Flour. Yeast. All easily attained by growing, or purchasing at an affordable price. Add some fish that you had left over, and you have yourself a meal full of delicious, rich flavors that even a poor fisherman could afford.

For this event we are taking our family recipe but featuring a giant king crab leg, jumbo prawns, and huge chunks of fresh halibut all simmered in a garlic and tomato broth with fresh herbs and saffron, the flavors are mesmerizing. You will find yourself desperate to devour every last bit of sauce, so we provide large hunks of garlicky sourdough bread to sop up the last morsel!
